John Kreiss, President
John Kreiss founded SullivanKreiss in November 2003 out of a bedroom in his home with a phone and a vision to create a better breed of executive search firm. Today, SullivanKreiss is the premier search firm dedicated to serving the particular staffing needs of architecture, engineering, planning, and landscape architecture firms. John specializes in conducting high-level executive searches and has extensive experience as both project manager and primary recruiter on searches for key management and technical positions at the departmental, office, and corporate level. He also advises clients on recruitment strategy, compensation, relocation, outplacement, and other human resources issues.
John has been noted in a number of publications including NAIOP’s Developer Magazine, Land Development Today, McGraw Hill Construction, Builder Online and Remodeling News. He has been featured in IOMA Principals Report, the Worcester Business Journal, and the Boston Business Journal. He also co-authored Insider's Guide to Professional Recruitment Secrets. John has been quoted in numerous publications as well, including: American Waterworks Association, DesignBuild, Commercial Building Construction, the Wisconsin Daily Reporter, and the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce.
John is a member of the Urban Land Institute, National Association of
Personnel Consultants, and Rotary International. He has an MBA with a
concentration in Management from the Elkin B. McCallum graduate school
of business at Bentley College in Waltham, MA, and a B.A. in Psychology
from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.
Justin Roy, Chief Operating Officer
Justin is responsible for the management of recruiting operations, along with client and project development. He has extensive experience with all aspects of executive-level, key management, and technical position recruiting for Architecture, Planning, Landscape Architecture, and Engineering firms throughout the United States.
Justin has been noted in several publications, including: Consulting-Specifying Engineer Magazine, Architectural Record, Professional Services Management Journal, McGraw Hill Engineering News Record (ENR), IOMA Principals Report, Land Development Today, and The Worcester Business Journal.
He was a panelist "A/E/C staffing trends and challenges -- retaining the best talent, finding the best job available today" for the Build Boston Conference (Boston Society of Architects) and spoke at the Land Development Today Breakthroughs Best Practices national conference on "Hiring and Retention of The Right People in the A/E/C Industry" in Washington, DC.
Justin is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, American Society of Civil Engineers, Institution of Transportation Engineers, American Institute of Architects, and Networking For A Cause.
Justin is a graduate of Assumption College in Worcester, MA where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business with a concentration in Spanish Studies. Justin was the recipient of the 2004 Crown and Shield Award for his civic and global service and leadership.
Frank Rivelli, Project Operations Manager - Architecture:
Frank Rivelli is the Project Operations Manager overseeing executive searches for our Architectural division. He has recruited at all levels from Project Managers to Principals, Vice Presidents, Presidents and CEOs. Frank has been an integral part in expanding the company’s abilities to serve a wide range of design specialties. He is a valuable consultant to our clients’ diversified markets which include senior housing, labs/research facilities, education, healthcare, multi-family, retail, commercial, government, industrial, and recreational facilities.
Frank also provides recruitment and consulting services to our Interior Design and Interior Architecture clients. Both clients and candidates value his advice and insights. He is appreciated for his ability to identify talent at every level and keenly match it with opportunity.
Frank frequently writes articles on industry issues and has been acknowledged in the Worcester Business Journal, the Institute of Management and Administration-Principals Report, and Dezignare.
He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects, the International Interior Design Association, the Urban Land Institute, the American Society of Healthcare Architects, the Association of University Research Parks, the Society for College and University Planning, and the American Institute of Architects Design for Aging Knowledge Community. He spent most of his life living in New York, Long Island where he received his BA in Social Science and his New York State Teaching Certification at Dowling College.
Jeff Simeone, Project Operations Manager - Landscape Architecture:
As a Project Operations Manager with SullivanKreiss, Jeff is responsible for overseeing the firm’s Landscape Architecture Division. Having extensive experience placing mid to senior level candidate’s in the building and design industry, Jeff presents an inside knowledge on what makes up a qualified candidate in a highly demanding market. Aside from landscape architecture projects Jeff remains very involved in engineering and architecture searches on a national level. He has placed candidates in all three industries and continues longstanding relationships with his clients. Jeff works very hard at maintaining a “client first” mentality on his search assignments and has traveled throughout the country to meet with clients and establish personal relationships.
Jeff is an active member in The American Society of Landscape Architecture (ASLA), Urban Land Institute (ULI), American Society of Architects (AIA), American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), Society for College and University Planning (SCUP), and more which allows him to remain up-to-date on the newest industry trends and demands.
Jeff has been published in The Business of Engineering; a Management Report, “Is Your Firm Offering Enough to Recruits?” as well as in the IOMA Principals Report, “When Hiring, Speed is of the Essence”, and regularly contributes articles to the AE industries periodicals, websites and blogs. As an active blogger for SullivanKreiss Jeff has been able to connect with a larger audience and enjoys the ability to share ideas and voice his opinion on industry related topics. He comes to SullivanKreiss with prior experience in recruiting, management, and human resources with CVS and Toys R Us. Jeff received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resource Management from Clark University in 2002.
Tim Johnson, Project Operations Manager - Engineering:
Tim is the Project Operations Manager in charge of executive searches for the engineering division, responsible for project management and client development. He has extensive experience with all aspects of recruiting for executive level, key management, and technical professionals, focused on Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Environmental engineering nationwide. He is recognized for his ability to efficiently execute searches to best identify, recruit, and place top talent in essential positions for clients.
Tim has written a number of industry specific articles, including regular business columns for Modern Steel Construction. He has been noted in Consulting-Specifying Engineering, Worcester Business Journal, Dezignare, and Railway, Track and Structure, and many other publications. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Urban Land Institute, the American Water Works Association, and the Institute of Transportation Engineers. Tim graduated cum laude from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, and concentration in Political Science. He joined SullivanKreiss with sales management and human resource experience.
